He has written several award-winning titles, most notably The Smoking Mirror and They Call Me Güero. She is also preparing to return to her first love, acting.ĭavid Bowles is a Mexican-American author and translator from south Texas, where he teaches at the University of Texas Río Grande Valley. Currently she is writing a book based on her mother which she hopes to one day put on film. Since November 2018, Ana Alicia has been the Executive Producer for “Who Is Venezuela,” a documentary capturing a rapidly changing economic and political environment through the eyes of the Venezuelan people struggling through a massive humanitarian crisis.Ĭurrently, she and first-time director Michael Ortiz-Benz have a team on the ground in Caracas, Venezuela. Her most recent producing credits include two short films: the Columbia-set “Hacienda Paraíso” by writer/director Erick Castrillon and “By The Time It Gets Dark” by writer/director Evan Galiffa. While developing a slate of television projects at Quebrada, Ana Alicia also focuses on her mission investing in emerging diverse talent.
She currently heads her production company, Quebrada Entertainment, where she works closely with her development team to create content that resonates with a culturally and demographically diverse audience. Mexican-born actress-producer-director, Ana Alicia is best known for her lead role as Melissa on CBS’s Falcon Crest for which she won both the Nosotros Award, and the Cesar Award for her dramatic performance and professional success as a Latina actress.
